Festive Morning Tour aboard The Royal Yacht Britannia

Arrival at the Visitor Centre from 4.30pm – Begin your festive evening at Britannia’s Visitor Centre, which will be open exclusively for guests who wish to explore the rich history of the Royal Yacht before boarding the ship at 5pm.

A Christmas Welcome to Britannia - A red carpet awaits as you come on board via the Royal Brow, an entrance previously reserved for Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family.

Highlights of The Royal Yacht Britannia - Britannia's own Tour event guides will give guests a unique insight into the history of the Royal Yacht and how the Royal Family and crew, fondly known as 'yotties’, lived and worked on board.

For this special festive occasion, you will be given an exclusive behind the ropes tour of Britannia’s gleaming Engine Room to see the heart of this ship which powered Britannia, sailing one million nautical miles around the world, the equivalent to forty-six times around the globe.

Please note, the Engine Room has stair access only and is subject to additional Health & Safety regulations for entry.

Special talk and Q&A session – After the tour, our Butlers will serve a choice of Champagne or mulled wine with mince pies and festive scones with clotted cream and jam in the beautifully decorated State Drawing Room. Guests will have the opportunity to meet William French, former Royal Butler, and hear his recollections of life on board.

A Gift from Britannia - To mark the festive season, each guest will receive a Christmas gift of their choosing: either a Britannia Guidebook or a traditional Britannia Christmas pudding, handmade on board in the original Royal Galley.

Christmas Shopping and Departure - Departure will be at 7pm via our Shop, where guests can enjoy exclusive Christmas shopping and find a selection of unique gifts and souvenirs.

*A minimum number of guests is required for this event. Those who have booked will receive a final confirmation on 2nd December that this event will take place.
