Festive Morning Tour with Froggy

Arrival at the Visitor Centre from 8.00am – Begin your festive morning at Britannia’s Visitor Centre, which will be open exclusively for guests who wish to explore the rich history of the Royal Yacht before boarding at 8:30am.  

A Christmas Welcome to Britannia - A red carpet awaits as you come on board via the Royal Brow, an entrance previously reserved for Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family.

Highlights of The Royal Yacht Britannia - A personal guide will give guests a unique insight into the history of the Royal Yacht and how the Royal Family and crew 'yotties’ lived and worked on board.

For this special festive occasion, you will be given an exclusive behind the ropes tour of Britannia’s gleaming Engine Room. While she was in service, Britannia sailed one million nautical miles around the world, equivalent to forty-six times around the globe.

Please note, this area is not accessible and is subject to additional Health & Safety regulations.

Festive Refreshments – After the tour, fresh coffee, tea, festive hot chocolate, mince pies and festive scones with clotted cream and jam will be served. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet William French (affectionately known as Froggy), former Royal Butler, and hear his recollections of life on board during a special talk and Q&A session. 

A Gift from Britannia - To mark the festive season, each guest will receive a Christmas gift of their choosing: either a Britannia Guidebook or a traditional Britannia Christmas pudding, handmade on board by our Executive Chef and his team in the original Royal Galley.

Christmas Shopping and Departure - Departure will be at 10:30am via our Shop, where guests can enjoy exclusive Christmas shopping and find a selection of unique gifts and souvenirs.
